Arkansas FFA Association

About
The Arkansas FFA Association was chartered in 1928, the same year as the National FFA Organization. Arkansas FFA functions within the constitution of the National FFA Organization, but has also created individual leadership structures, awards, programs and competitions.

Arkansas FFA State Officers lead the membership of the state association and are elected by state FFA convention delegates. Local FFA Chapters are chartered through the state associations.

FFA Mission, Motto, Creed
Arkansas FFA is dedicated to making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth and career success through agricultural education.

Activities & Conferences
Arkansas FFA and National FFA provide many opportunities for members to participate in camps, conventions, conferences and other activities that promote premiere leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education.

Ag Ed Leadership & Curriculum Program
This program is designed to allow every student enrolled in an Agricultural Education class to have full access to everything the organization has to offer. Inclusion of these students who might otherwise not have the chance to enjoy these activities will only serve to strengthen the nation’s largest youth organization.

Awards & Degrees
Includes: National Chapter Award and American FFA Degree Candidates

Career Development Events (CDE)

Career opportunities abound within today's agriculture industry. CDEs help students develop the abilities to think critically, communicate clearly and perform effectively in a competitive job market.

Arkansas FFA members have the opportunity to participate in 19 CDEs, ranging from floriculture to mechanics. Some events allow students to compete as individuals, while others allow them to compete in teams.

Leadership Development Events (LDE)
Arkansas FFA members are encouraged to participate in competitive leadership events. Each year, students compete in individual and team events at the sub-area, state and national level.

Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE)
Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAE) are student-led, instructor-supervised, work-based learning experience that results in measurable outcomes within a pre-defined, agreed upon set of Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources (AFNR) Technical Standards and Career Ready Practices aligned to a career plan of study.
