The objective of the State FFA Livestock Evaluation Career Development Event is to help students understand and interpret the value of performance data based on industry standards. By participating in the Livestock Evaluation CDE students learn to make accurate observation of livestock, determine the desirable traits in animals, to make logical decisions based on these observations, discuss and to defend their decisions for their placing, and to instill an appreciation for desirable selection, management and marketing techniques.
