Overview
We would like to invite you to join us for the second annual Arkansas FFA Virtual 5K Turkey Trot in partnership with The Poultry Federation (TPF). We have partnered with TPF to help raise awareness and to celebrate the turkey industry in Arkansas.
Did you know that Arkansas ranks 3rd in the nation for turkey production? In 2020, Arkansas growers raised 30 million turkeys. That is equal to 10 turkeys per person in Arkansas. In 2020, U.S. consumption of turkey was 5.2 billion pounds and 15.8 pounds per person. Arkansas is also home to several major integrators, mainly Butterball and Cargill.
Gather up your flock and join us (virtually) anywhere and anytime between November 19-27. Whether it’s on a bike path, a State Park, around your neighborhood or in a pasure, actively show your appreciation for the rich turkey industry that is here in Arkansas and support the Arkansas FFA Foundation and agriculture education.
