Biography
I am Lucas Head your 2012-2013 Southern Region Vice President. I was born and raised in Mena where I grew up on a farm about 10 miles outside of town. My father is an engineer and my mom is a paraprofessional at the local elementary school. My older brother and sister both attend Southern Arkansas University.
Throughout my life I have been involved in numerous extracurricular activities. I played varsity golf, bowling, and baseball. I was a member of the Spotlight Singers as well as FBLA, FCCLA, NHS, ETS, Student Council, Class Officer, and a Fire Marshall. Back on the farm I hunt and fish. I enjoy watching or playing all sports and will challenge anyone to a ping pong match.
My Mena FFA career began in 8th grade when I started showing goats (SAE Diversified Livestock Production), got my start on the Forestry CDE Team, and was elected junior high President. Throughout high school I participated in OCC, Ag. Communications, and Parliamentary Procedure, however; forestry was always my favorite. For five years I was an active member of the chapter on the local, state, and national levels.
This fall I will be attending Rich Mountain Community College. Eventually I want to study natural resources and conservation thereof. I can picture myself in many agriculture related careers.
As a member of the 2012-2013 AR FFA State Officer Team I look forward to serving YOU!!!
